I think Captain Jack Sparrow was a pirate fairy. I want to know what a belly dancer would want with a corset bodice.

    Default Your favourite costumes

So most of us in belly dance land share one common love: Costuming. Some of us love looking at it, designing it, making it, wearing it and/or all of the above.

I thought it would be fun to have a thread to celebrate costumes we love and admire. They can be costumes you've made, costumes, you've owned or still own, costumes another dancer has that you lust over lol.

Considering it a costuming eye candy thread and an eye opener to explore the tastes of others. One of the main things about costuming is how subjective it is, one dancer's "OMG who would wear that" is another dancer's "OMG Most amazing costume ever!!" lol. Whatever floats your boat I say!

Let the ogling and head tilting begin

It's an el cheapo corset so it would be flexible enough to dance in!

I can see this costume work with Tarkans song Kiss Kiss:

We got the TPBDC for that, people might think it's only for the bad stuff, but we do post beautiful costumes in there as well. It's a place where everything can be discussed

That mini skirt is apparently a belly dance costume and that corset was listed as “Corset Bodice BellyDance Ren Fair Cosplay PiRaTe FairY.” I want to know what a pirate fairy is.
The silver and gold ones look like angry alien robots.

Y'know, "Rainbow Bubbles" is actually an interesting idea with poor execution. Somewhat to my surprise, I like the fabric.

Imagine the patterned skirt had been fitted and sewn properly instead of being contructed like a shower curtain. I like the curved opening for a glimpse of yellow underskirt, though underskirt needs to be more voluminous for drama- looks awfully skimpy as is. Then construct a proper hip band and bra in a better color (is the color used greige??) with the circle motif incorporated into a beaded design and maybe a covered beaded ring to join the cups at the center of the bra.

I'd like to know the thinking behind the orange ring attaching the veil at the waistline.
