Help me, oh all-knowing forum-crowdI am trying to identify good teachers of Tunisian dance. I know Peppina Lindfors from Finland, and I know she mainly learned it from Leila Haddad. But are there any other good teachers I am not aware of?

I have heard good things about Amel Tafsout (who grew up in Algeria) - Amel Tafsout
I've attended workshops in Tunisian dances with Helene Eriksen.
And then of course, you have Aisha Ali who documented dances all over North Africa, Tunisia and has published her findings and recordings on video/DVD and CD.
What about Hadia? Doesn't she have a DVD on Tunisian Dancing? Anyone know if that is a good one?
I have always really, really loved Fazeni. I did a contract in Tunisia some time back, I would get the waitresses to school me after the cabaret closed... They would teach me some and I would teach them some Oriental. I've taken from Leila too over the years in the US. Hadia does have said dvd though I've not looked at it and couldn't say.
Ooh, I knew I could rely on you! This gives me plenty of names to check out, thanks!![]()
Also Cassandra Shore in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I really enjoyed her workshop when I took it a couple of years ago.
