Login and finding myself logged out

At work I'll login, check something, and find myself logged out after ten or fifteen minutes of reading.

Is anyone else having this issue? At home my login is checked to keep me logged in, so I was wondering if its just for being at work, or if its cause I don't have that little box checked at the top.

If you can stay logged in at home, it could be something to do with your system at work. If you checked the little box to stay logged in when you do log in you should remain logged in. As for checking the box at the top of the page, I'm not sure what one you mean.

Anyway check with your IT admin at work to see if they have some sort of limit on outside websites.

The little box was the "stay logged in" box. I asked IT and they asked why I was looking at at bellydance site in the first place.

Oh, well. I told them I was researching. Not so far from the truth.

Glad you have sorted the problem out:D I can imagine IT's curiosity as to why you are "researching" BD:D

Curiously my college IT also prevented access to this website until I told them for an art college to limit access to a dance website is illogical, so this site got allowed, but some others I used to visit were still blocked and that IT said was because the websites refused to give certain information out so the computer rejected them.

But yes, here I must remember to check the box when logging in from home, as fifteen minutes later when trying to post something I find I am logged out, so now if I remember too late, I always copy my work because I know what's going to happen as it has happened too many times before.

I can access this site from work, but am not able to watch any video links (youtube, facebook, BHuz, tribe.net, and several other "social networking" sites are blocked at my workplace). Also, often the pictures copied in to posts do not display at all on my work laptop.

Oh well, there is still plenty to keep me occupied here whenever I get a "BD Craving" during the workday !!! ;)

Check the little box - this site has always had a very short timeout otherwise. I've even had it time out on me in the middle of writing a post!
