Dear Andrea I just read your article in Gilded Serpent - wow. Your lifted heel convention actually makes a lot of sense. Sort of like they way statues of military heros on horse back have the thing about the way the horses are standing not sure about which leg is which - one way means survived battle, died in battle, wounded and survived, wounded died later. Intersting... going to study some Ancient Egyptian art now while eagerly waiting for the second installment. Creaks.
