I just discovered today that I have back fat (the poochy rolls kind)that shows up even when I'm standing. So it's definitely time to do something about my weight.

I gained a new layer of fat. Chocolate and peanut butter are my friends. I eat this almost every day. Very soon, I will have a nice, and beautiful fat belly

part of the jiggle, could be from gaining and losing small amounts of weight. it could be that others don't have that much jiggle from having the same weight for along time? who knows. but then I have seen daria mitszkavitch, who is NOT fat, and wow, her belly can really shake when she puts her mind to it.

and a note on back fat, even on skinny girls they get winkle lines in ther back-waist area. everyone has it.

Yes I suspect my jiggle is from yoyo weight. I used to gain massive amounts of weight sometimes in a short time due to medication (and being bedridden sometimes) Now that I am done with weightloss I hope to maintain and over time loose the jiggle. When I am overweight I don't have jiggle, but that's maybe because the skin is so stratched tight over my stomach? No idea.

However, jiggle can be counter effected a bit by keeping tummy muscles tight during dancing.

That's true, but when you can suddenly grab it by the handful, it's time to put the food down & start dancing.

Try Shaun T.'s Insanity workout, and drink Herbalife weight loss shakes and tea. But hey, I'm slowly losing weight, and am getting a little bit of my muscle tone back!

What you say might work, Farasha, but for the exception of caffeine products, which I need to avoid for both cardiac and dermatological reasons (includes chocolate, even... a real bummer, that...). My approach is low-fat, primarily. Another thing that seems to work for me is lesser quantities. I try not to consume more than what I can burn off. How do you know what that amount is? If you need to ask, then you don't know the source of "#2" ... Sorry if I offend anybody with that reference, but that's the way it is.

Anyway, dietary consideration as described combined with some sort (any!) of exercise regimen (BD is great; gym workouts; even playing a wind instrument, like I do) should be beneficial. Maybe not speedy, but progress, no matter how slight, is still progress.

Wow... I noticed that I haven't posted on this thread since April! ...and I'm the one that started it! ...exacerbated by my getting so preoccupied with other things, I'm forgetting about even logging in here. Sheesh!

Ok, let me try to update: I haven't been checking my weight on the scale, but I have noticed that a lot of my wardrobe now fits a little bit looser than before.

Plan now is to get my ?ss back to the gym, and do some conversion/redistribution.

So, how's the "Lose 15-Pounds Club" doing?

I'm embarrassed to say that progress is slooowwwww. I'm down to 200-201, starting at 205.

Well, I started this 15-pound business with the best of intentions, and I really have cut down on the quantities going down my throat, and the clothes are fitting better (without being let out)... I'm probably enjoying a redistribution... Still should lose the final 10-11, though.
