A couple of song titles to look for:

Asherlee bil Mandeela. There's a version on one of Leila Farid's CD's. It's a bit slower than some of the others I've listed, and for that reason, I like using it in my classes to teach my students.

Ya Rashid by Rashid al-Majed. It came out around 1998.

Tini Warwar by Jamila. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y12K1IEHrio

Abaad by Mohamed Abdo. From about the 1960's, but still a beloved song. Sometimes called "Leyla Leyla" because there's a section of the lyrics that sing that over and over. Here's the lyrics translation: http://www.shira.net/music/lyrics/abaad.htm

Wah Wah Adanou Adanou. Can be hard to find on CD's or download sites, but it does show up on one of the Mezdeke CD's under some weird name. Here's the translation of the lyrics: http://www.shira.net/music/lyrics/wah-wah.htm

Thanks, Shira. Right now my class is in love with khaleeji and music suggestions are welcome.
