Any one know how to define this?

I have been reading some old dance notes and came across the term" Belady hips" and for the life of me I do not know what movement that is. Anyone have a defination for this term?

could it be the belady step or walk? I've never heard of it but everyone has so many different names for moves.

This one comes from Bobby Farrah. It's the same thing as a hip drop sit kick, or that famous move where you do two hip drops, and on the second drop you release the foot out in a little "kick."

It's usually common when the orchestra switches from the opening intro to a really heavy beledy beat. Bobby apparently said that was the time when the dancer would plant herself on stage and really OWN the stage, doing beledy hips.
