Hello

Hello everyone! My name is Faddah. My daughter and I have been dancing for 13 years and love this dance passionately. Our teacher was unable to teach for several years while she fought with melanoma and we did not attend any regular class. A workshop here, a workshop there. Recently I discovered some old dance notes that referenced "belady hips" and for the life of me I do not remember what "belady hips" are. Can anyone enlighten me?
Bright Blessings,
Ourania

Welcome to the forum fluidhips, you've come to the right place to feed your addiction:lol:
Also welcome to you Faddah, as for the term beladi hips I have never heard of that, maybe it was a term used by the teacher who taught the move. As there is no real standard in terms used one does come across names for movements that leave one baffled but generally they turn out to be moves more widely known by another term. It sounds like it could be an arabic walk with a 3/4 shimmy layered over it.
