Unwanted Intruders

Uhm guys I recently saw two posts advertising, porn and penile enhancements. While I'm certainly no prude, these people are posting links to these pages in the form of responses to other posts. I reported them, but I think we need be aware that someone is using our beloved forum as a pornographic playground. Is there a way to deactivate these type of links?

If you would know how many of those "free porn" & "enlarge you penis" posts I delete from the forum daily...

I"ve noticed too. It never came to my attention really but lately I've been seeing a lot of those posts around here, reporting them constantly though;) .

Hi Anatoliy, You are the hardest working man on the forum! We all appreciate the behind the scenes stuff you do to keep the forum up and running. Maybe I've watched too many X-Files episodes and I see conspirators everywhere!

Oy. I guess I should count our blessings that no one posts that sort of stuff on our own forum! We just get your run of the mill spammers...just found out there's a new program out there for automatic signups that is 'smart' enough to bypass all the roadblocks we put up to keep them out. And it must be working, we've gone from one or two spammers a week to three or four a day.

Well, anyway, thanks Anatoliy.

I think spam like that is inescapable these days, and kudos to Anatoliy for keeping us pretty free of it so far! One thing I've noticed is that a lot of them seem to be coming into my "costume storage" thread, which is one of the more bizarre threads for pr0n-spam to go!

Hello all, i saw one of these porn posts in here last night, was about to send a post about it but it disappeared so i guessed that it had been spotted. What is the formal way of reporting these posts? I was just going to send a post in this section of the forum, is that right?

Hi Taheya, you can report a post by clicking the red and white triangle of that persons post (next to the "online or not"-circle and the pair of scales).
