Hello, I love to study belly dance. But I'm little bit shy. Can I study at home?

Welcome to the forum. Gather your nerve and head for the nearest class- I've seen more than one shy student blossom into a fine performer!

to the forum, and I agree with Shanazel, take a deep breathe and find a teacher, you won't regret it. It is very difficult to study at home, because you do need a teacher to correct things which you can't get from DVDs. you can use DVDs to back up lessons but classes are by far the best thing.

Even if you try out with a teacher in a couple of private lessons to to begin with, that can help you to feel confident enough to go to classes... good luck!

Dance is like glitter, it not only colours your life, it makes you sparkle, you find it everywhere and in everything and it's near impossible to get rid of. (unknown)

Do both! I started my study at home and when I started taking classes I felt pretty shy too. But it went away the more classes I took.
