What Size Bra Cups?

When I was feeding my babies, I had to buy a 40H nursing bra. I found one in all the world from a company that specialized in equipment for new moms. I felt like a jersey cow... thank goodness for good insurance, plastic surgeons, and breast reduction surgery. 38C is much easier to deal with.

I'm currently embellishing a bra, too (no beads - my sewing skills are atrocious!).

I bought a bra that fit me perfectly, but in the time I've been sewing, I seem to have shrunk a cup size or so, and have gaping issues, made worse when 'testing' with a halter-neck (I plan to have the finished straps cross-back). Being well endowed, I've never padded a bra in my life, so how would I go about resolving the sudden gape-age issue? I think it's really only noticeable to me, looking top-down...

Sorry, Azeeza, I think your thread has been hijacked into a how-to-fix-bra-cups thread!

I am a "normal" 36c.... & almost always pad my bras (don't really "need" to, proportionally, all is well)... just to keep them "still";) !!!!!!
I have SLOWLY convinced many of my more "ample" dance friends to do the same!!! sounds REALLY counter intuitive to them... so meet lots of resistance... til they try it!!!!
I use pads taken out of regular push up bras... & have also used shoulder pads out of clothes in my good will pile!!!! (old tee shirt fabric makes nice lining too!!!)
try pinning the pads in place... either to the outside under edge if you need/want more "lift/cleavage"... or more in the apex (point!) if you want more of a "strap em down" effect... (& sounds like this may help your issue< Gwinity!)...
*use SAFETY pins to pin in place/try on/ reposition til you are satisfied... then stitch in place (I usually just tack down in 2 or 3 places)
MKAE SURE YOU SEW YOUR PADS DOWN!!! nothing is worse than a pad oozing out DURING a performance!!!!!! (except your safety pin popping :shok: open!!!!!

For finding larger sizes I've given up on regular shops. Once you know the right size and which manufacturers' styles fit well, specialist mail order has way more choice.

I use Bravissimo | Lingerie, Swimwear and Clothing for big boobed women
Their fitting advice on the website is excellent. I got measured in a well-known high street store once and had a ROTFL moment with the answer. 36C? I DON'T THINK SO...

Rigby & Peller in London are the most amazing though. No tape measures, they just look at you and KNOW.

Thanks for the advice, Belly Dancer. I was a 14E (36E?), but have shrunk around cup size (no idea how). The prospect of adding padding is a little daunting when you've been used to your chest entering a room three minutes before the rest of you! :shok:

What do you mean by a "strap-em-down" effect, though? And would squishy, removable gel inserts (that I've removed from countless other bras) stay in place, or would I need to add a "casing" for them...?

Was the thread hijacked??? I need all the advice I can get! I didn't think my original thread was hijacked at all.

:D,
