    Default Hello all

I have been scouring this forum yesterday and this morning, because I had my first belly dance lesson this evening. And, since I survived it, I figured I would hop on here and make my presence known. Also, I'm a boy, which I guess makes me a bit of an oddity in the belly dancing world. (Not that I'm really part of the belly dancing world after an hour's lesson. I seem to be part of the "What do you mean 'shimmy?' How is everyone moving their bodies like that?" world. Heh.) But, yes. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, everyone.

Dance is like glitter, it not only colours your life, it makes you sparkle, you find it everywhere and in everything and it's near impossible to get rid of. (unknown)

Our instructor said her favorite style is Tribal Fusion, so I assume that's what she'll be teaching us? She didn't really explicitly say.

Welcome and I hope you will have many more lessons (and being a male dancer is a relative rarity, not an oddity!!)
