Come celebrate the beauty of the dance while supporting a local non-profit organization!
Shimmies for Life (Shimmies for Life) is a dance fundraiser that will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Samuel Field Y in Little Neck, N.Y. from 1-4 p.m.
Our goal is to raise $3,000 for Strength For Life so that they may provide equipment, classes and retreats to cancer patients and survivors. Donations will help support their mission of strengthening the lives of cancer patient’s and survivor’s everywhere.
I am currently looking for Bellydancers, Troupes, Duets, Dance Companies and Instructors to perform at this fundraiser. (Bellydancers may use the following props: Sword, Veil, Fan Veil, Zills, Fans, Non-flammable candles).
We are also looking for musicians to perform live too! If you are interested in performing, please send your name, phone number and email to: perform@shimmiesforlife.com. Reviewing submissions will take a few business days, so please be patient.
