You can see right through her pants. It's hard to tell what she's got going on under there, her butt's a moving blur.

oh okay. i thought it was covered by her coin belt.

I went back to see - still wasn't sure but her dance seemed much more horrible the 2end time. oh joy.

What's the context of this video? Is it the talent portion of a Miss Albania UK contest?

Something like this is totally appropriate and acceptable at a student recital. Everyone has to start somewhere, and it's not fair to hold a beginner student to professional standards. They (and all of us, really) should be corrected and strive to always improve. But "horrible" on a beginner, presented in an appropriate venue, is not the same as "horrible" on a pro.

However, if she's dancing at a pageant and she claims this is her talent... well... I definitely take issue with that.

Regarding youtube commenters... there are a lot of pervs on youtube who have no idea what quality belly dance actually looks like. They just want to see a pretty girl shaking it. I've been posting on youtube for a long time (since when I first started), and some of my most viewed videos were also my worst (many of them are now private). I don't measure my success by how many views or positive comments I receive. I have my own standards.

I post on YT every day as it is my favorite website because it features a wide variety of vids such as politics, sports (I'm a sports fanatic), arts, and, of course, BD.

Over the years I have commended several contributors for their vids and have made suggestions as to how to improve them. Believe it or not, the most replies I have ever gotten was from BD dancers. And it may well be that some of you here have made some of those replies! Each has thanked me for my suggestions and I find it remarkable as to how receptive and well disposed they are.

You see it everywhere on Youtube with many things. The bad get loads of views Boxxy (she really needs to be seen to be believed) and Fred (talks in a high pitched voice very fast; has his own movie) are perfect examples of terrible youtubers that hardly deserve a pixel on Youtube and the good are usually hardly seen and usually specialised. You have to know what you're talking about before you can point out the posers and the best.

Also, have you noticed that an attractive female will get comments praising whatever they are doing because they are attractive? This problem happens in gaming culture all of the time and as a woman a part of gaming culture I want to burry my head in a brick wall because the women representing female gamers are 1) not actually gamers (obvious by what they say) and 2) chosen for their looks and cleavage and thats about it. But they are given praise and wonderful comments because they are what people expect female gamers to be like. Usually sluts licking a console controller in their underwear or "sexy" cosplay, so thats what people look for and want to see who know no better. But I digress; that is a whole other problem.

But its exactly the same in belly dance. WE know she is bad, but does everyone else? Shes flashy, shaking her hips and does it fast. Isn't that what people think belly dance is? Especially as she is not actually part of a bellydance scene; as people have stated before shes in a beauty competition! Or what about the women who use belly dance in strip clubs, it stands out and thats what people expect who don't know anything about the dance. We show them different; we promote belly dance as what it should be, but Youtube is made mostly of trolls. Trolls who know nothing and think they know everything, think everyone else is wrong and themselves always right.

Unfortunately all we can do is ignore them and show the world what this dance really is and how it should be done!
