    Big Grin Well hello there.....

Hello, my name is Alaras and I am new here. I found this forum while researching ideas for a belly dance costume for a school dance concert. I danced in a similar piece this past spring semester, but ended up having to borrow someone else costume. This time I want to make my own.
I started dancing when I was 47, but my first foray into belly dance was at school/college. I have some latin/ballroom, and tap experience under my belt and am also taking some jazz dance classes now.
I have 2 children and 4 grand daughters and I am pursuing a degree in art (a life long dream of mine) but I find that I am continuously derailed by dancing...lol
So this is my story and I just wanted to say hello.....

to the forum. Good for you pursuing your dream and dancing Belly dance seems to have a way of derailing other pursuits, it's a bit like glitter gets into everything & near impossible to get rid of

Dance is like glitter, it not only colours your life, it makes you sparkle, you find it everywhere and in everything and it's near impossible to get rid of. (unknown)
