Hello, my name is Alaras and I am new here. I found this forum while researching ideas for a belly dance costume for a school dance concert. I danced in a similar piece this past spring semester, but ended up having to borrow someone else costume. This time I want to make my own.
I started dancing when I was 47, but my first foray into belly dance was at school/college. I have some latin/ballroom, and tap experience under my belt and am also taking some jazz dance classes now.
I have 2 children and 4 grand daughters and I am pursuing a degree in art (a life long dream of mine) but I find that I am continuously derailed by dancing...lol
So this is my story and I just wanted to say hello.....
