I'm excited that I came across these forums! I'm new to practicing/studying belly dance, but have admired belly dancers for years. I used to frequent night clubs and was enmeshed in a "scene" that attracted a lot of belly dancers and embraced the style/culture. So, I'm excited to finally begin some formal learning!
On a whim, I signed up for a local class and have been going for a couple of weeks. We have a show next week that I'm performing in with the beginner's class. I'm definitely looking forward to the show, continuing to learn, and conversing hear to learn and share even more.
