I also have mental health problems. At first it was thought to be depression..then I got a diagnosis of Depressive Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (because it was the first or second visit and the therapist didn't have a firm diagnosis for me yet)....now.. according to the self tests I've taken recently..I should be screened for bipolar disorder. In response to the Original Post...I know what you are talking about in terms of an emergency plan...but from what I have had Psychologists tell me...your plan needs to be something you work out in session with your therapist..because it has to be highly personal. You have to kind of go over things and plan on doing that which will work for you.

I appreciated the "bingo" card. I especially hate "snap out of it!" That is about like telling somebody with a broken leg to "just shove it back together" or telling a person with the flu to "just quit that sneezing and coughing already."
