From what I can discern from the condition without wishing to pry, I understand it is something to do with collagen and it's affect on the muscles post surgery, where the EDS will not be helping matters, but we must understand this inability to carry on dancing will not have been taken lightly, the advice to quit would have come from the highest sources as the articles linked mentioned the world renowned St Bartholomew's cancer centre in London.

But the charity of which last night's most wonderful event was in aid of ;

National Hereditary Breast Cancer Help Line

But from another friend with EDS, the mentioning of this article, that other friend with EDS said; right choice given the problems she has with her variant of the condition- Type 3.

I hope she can return to dance someday. It isn't necessary to have breasts and ovaries to dance - just ask our male brothers!

Wishing Yasmin all the best for her surgery, & to find the cure or at least an aid for EDS so that she may continue dancing one day. Please keep us updated with how she's doing, Khanjar :pray:
