Some music to share-not dance music, but someone out there may be interested...

I have been entranced by Abida Parveen's singing since first hearing her on CD. She is a Sufi singer from Pakistan, one of the world's great artists. This evening is the first time ever to watch her performing one of the songs I love listening to. Never knew much of the words before; they were written a long time ago but still pertinent.

Beyond that, in a Sufi saying I just read..." Leave the words at the shore" ...that must often ring true for those of us who listen to a lot of songs in languages we don't speak.
