I had no idea smart phones did this (I don't have one) - I know some cameras do. I assume its buried in the EXIF data, which can be scrubbed after the fact. Thanx for the edumacation.

I don't ever have GPS on & seldom post photos online, & never directly from my phone anyway, but it certainly is scary knowing the nasties out there can track people so easily.

This tablet would like me to turn on its GPS so Google knows where I am, or more likely where I left the thing. If I knew how to take photos with it I'm sure it would stick sneaky labels on them.
