    Default calves and releves

    I know releve is super important. I have mostly been an earthy on my feet kind of dancer. so my releve sucks and my calves are CONSTANTLY tight. oh boy.

    any advice on how to strengthen my feet, relieve my arch pain from being on releve and strengthen and release my calves?

    Here's someting I wrote on measuring calf flexibility and a simple stretch: Calf - ROM & Stretching

    Odd, though it is usually the high heel types that are very tight.

    Incidentally, physics means it is easier on your calves to go as high as you can - just lifting your heels is a strain. (You may need to look at ankle strength and balance)

    i don't wear heels and have been slowly getting into shape. my calves are ALWAYs tight. but thanx for the stretches. I think those will help. and i just downloaded some youtube vids on ankle strength and plan on revving up my balance.
