It has been quite the past weeks - it seems all my dance stuff is falling apart at the same time. I wonder if there is an astrological disposition or something like that going on
Anyways, by the time I got on stage for my first show yesterday, I discovered that the seam edging my wings has ripped off. There is about 70cm of it loose, so there is no chance of a quick fix. I also can't just cut off the seam and have the edge as it is, because the wings will start to "unravel". I tried heating the edge to melt the threads together, but figured out quickly that it is a rather life-threatening tactic (On a different note - I now know what to do the next time I want to do something terribly dramatic on stage )
So, does anyone have experience with this? Should I just get an overlock and hope that the new seam won't come loose again? Or does someone have a more clever idea?
