    Default New Belly Dancer

Hello from Duluth Minnesota! Brrrr...It actually has been quite nice outside the last couple of days but BRACE yourself...for a snowstorm coming this weekend. I am new to bellydancing...about 2 months maybe...Give or take. I am learning from Delilah's workshop...The first one with slow hips, arms and zills. I am mostly concentrating on weightloss, but it really is fun and I am enjoying it. I am looking forward to meeting others on here with the same interests!

    Default Expense of costumes

Hmmm....Maybe I will have to pick up another job to pay for the costumes! Those costumes are gorgeous! But incredibly expensive! Do they teach classes on how to make belly dancing costumes?

Strange, there do seem to be a lot of belly dancing nurses...

Someone I was talking to in class the other day is a nurse, and the hospital I work in is just starting belly dance classes one evening.

    Anyway, welcome KuteNurse, happy posting!

The internet is a good place to look for costume-making tips - Shira's site Belly Dancing -- Art Of Middle Eastern Dance -- Bellydancing in Iowa City is a great place to start and has useful links.

    Default Warm Welcomes

Thanks to Salome and Anisetoph for the warm welcomes! Great website Ani! I think I will get a hip scarf to start out with then move on from there! Any suggestions on what type to get?
