Yes, it was. We were plagued by a lot of cloud cover here in Chicago but still saw quite a bit. Nice way to spend the day at work going outside every 15 minutes to see what's going on.
I am so jealous. We were supposed to get a partial one here but it has been resolutely overcast all day (yay for the Great British Summer ) so nothing to see here.
Actually, I saw more on the weather channel and also NASA had great coverage of live total eclipses in Oregon and Kentucky. I did see a few phases but I heard cloud cover was ruining it for a lot of areas. That's a bummer.
That's how I watched it. We had a 75% cover here and it became darker as it passed but without the glasses I just didn't see the point in going out to look. (Ok, I also didn't check the time. opps :redface: )
