My experiences studying bellydance - "The Heart of A Bellydancer", Part 1 and 2

I just uploaded a couple of Youtube vlogs yesterday where I talk about my experiences studying bellydance. I hope you like them.

It's funny, because for a while I thought that because my own original dance creation couldn't be described as even fusion bellydance, I should stop studying bellydance and study contemporary instead. I've taken contemporary before and loved the athleticism of it. But I watched The Massive Spectacular! 2017 some time ago, and while it's certainly not bellydance, the fusion aesthetics are much closer to my own than say the aesthetics of So You Think You Can Dance's contemporary choreographies or Vancouver's modern dance scene. And reading Alia Thabit's book Midnight At The Crossroads helped solidify my love for traditional bellydance.
