Snow last night and this morning. Sunshine right now. 14 degrees. Gentle wind. Got to go pick up the grand-dogs tomorrow, meeting my son-in-law halfway, hoping the ground blizzards won't be too dreadful.

Made a four hour round trip in ground blizzards to get the grand-dogs from my son-in-law (he met me half way). They're going on vacation for a week or so. (My daughter and SIL, not the dogs.) Roads were okay most of the way down except for the last half an hour, then were mostly not okay on the way home. I don't like driving in ground blizzards, especially when there is just enough sun to make the snow sparkle as it blows across the road. Counting wind chill, it was 12 or 14 degrees below zero. Right now, it is 1 degree above but the wind isn't too bad. Think I'll go sit in front of the wood stove for a while. I get cold just thinking about it.

Got you beat in one respect-Sunday reached a high of only six degrees. But at least I didn't have to deal with any ground blizzards. Those are tough.

This arctic blast is supposed to last two more weeks. A cold front got stuck under the jet stream and is moving along with it, and it can't lift above the jet stream so we are all in it for the ride. As this weather creates a lot of snow, we are way above the average. It's going to snow at least three days just this week although they are saying it won't be significant snowfall. But I no longer hurt after shoveling so the "snow muscles" must be back in shape.

Finished cutting back the formal rose garden yesterday. Plenty of grass to be pulled but the worst is over. (Only sixteen more gardens to go.) Twenty-one degrees this morning; dogs and I are waiting for it to warm up a little before we go for a walk. Looks to be t-shirt weather by afternoon.

Glad to hear someone is warm and gardening! It was -5 when I went to bed last night but we're up to a balmy 4 above this morning. Predicted low for the end of the week is -25. This is why I buy roses for Zone 4 and not Zone 5- those borderline temps make me nervous.

T-shirt weather here as well - as long is the t-shirt is made from wool and you have an extra layer of long-sleeved wool as well.
-30C a few days ago. Pretty warm (and partly cloudy) today - just -10C and a tiny breeze.

Imagining dancing in -30C, any moves must be exaggerated heavily, otherwise nothing would be visible through the layers of winter clothes. Shimmies work perfect to keep warm, though.

We have around two more weeks of frequent snow plus I'm running out of room to put it. The arctic blast is supposed to end in another week, and I can't wait, as everything takes so much more effort. Just to take the dogs out, I have to put their sweaters on them, and after my littlest one does her business, her feet are so cold that I have to carry her back. We only go about three houses down because my other "problem child" takes a little longer to do his business.

A tad brisk this morning: -6 degrees with a 12 mph wind which makes it feel like -25. Guess I ought to find my hat and gloves. (Sounds even more impressive in Celsius: -32.)

We got a storm last week of around nine inches. Then they predicted another foot of snow this past Tuesday. However, I got 18 inches of this white crap, and it's snowing again today, which apparently was only to be a dusting or another inch but already by me, there's an inch and a half and it's not stopping. We haven't had this much snow on the ground since 1979. But it could be worse-I could be living in Texas where people are dying because their evil governor is doing nothing to help the people there.

I hear their evil Texas governor flew to Cancun during this outage. Is it true? Yet to be determined.

N.M. (where I live) received a light dusting. Wild mallards had to stamp down the snow to get to the feed we leave for them.

The governor said people will just have to tough it out, and if they die, they die. The previous governor pretty much did and said the same thing. They both should be held accountable.
