Indeed! Many of my relatives in Florida didn't do that for the hurricane that hit in September and they regretted it, having to sleep without roofs for weeks.

We have another storm coming in this weekend and early next week, but it isn't supposed to be quite as exciting as the last one. The chimney sweeps are scheduled to be at our place today after cancelling once for lack of proper equipment for the pitch of our roof and once for bad weather. Today the wind is moderate, they know about the roof (they did before, too- this was not the first tiome they've been out), and I hope they'll get 'er done so we can have a nice cozy fire tonight.

Chimney was swept. Fire was enjoyed.

35 mph wind and 36 degrees right now with snow predicted for the weekend. Looking forward to another cozy fire.

Its been a couple or three weeks, but had to turn on the A/C a bit today... :D

Oh, you are such a jerk, Zorba. You just love rubbing it in, doncha? 😆

Well, right now we got a whole 32 degrees ABOVE zero here and won't have single digit temps until Tuesday, so there.
