Beautiful sunny day here, but that wind is cold. Husband insists I'd be perfectly comfortable pruning roses if only I put on shoes, socks, a coat, a hat... I just figured I'd wait and see if it warms up this afternoon. We won't have our last frost until sometime after the middle of May. One year the last hard freeze was June 2. We Were Not Amused.

Ah, yes... Sounds sort of familiar.
We had first spring (or was it second?) in mid april, then third (or was it fourth?) winter. Temperatures have risen a bit and we had some sun today and it feels like spring again.

It went from cold wet spring to too darn hot! Either way, I still can't open the windows to get fresh air as now I have the A/C on all the time. The humidity is really thick too.

Got home yesterday. It was spring at 9 a.m. and winter with snow by 1 p.m. Blech. I should've stayed in Iceland where it was warm.

Weather is vacillating between snow and rain, temps ranging from upper fifties to upper twenties. Countryside is sure green, though.

The weather can't make up it's mind here either. One day it's blustery, the next it's sunny in the lower nineties, the next it's down in the seventies. I kinda wish it would just make up it's mind.

Its already too damn hot here. Won't be doing much work outside until the fall...

This morning is nice, but oh, the weeds... I should never, ever leave Wyoming in May, June, or October.

Well yesterday we took the cake! A micro burst touched down by me, and a tornado missed me by six blocks. Trees knocked down everywhere; power still out' stop lights out for miles. Last time this happened was twelve years ago when the trees were lifted out by their roots. This time they were broken in half.

Wowser, Fotia! That was way too close for comfort. Glad you came out of the event in one piece. You're in Chicago, aren't you? Did you see the funnel cloud?

Cool and very windy here: low fifties for temps, 25-35 mph for wind, depending where in the county you go. Winds in my area are usually on the higher side thanks to the ridge that is perfectly angled to catch the prevailing wind and speed it toward us. Took the dogs for a walk along the river this morning; it was windy down there, but not like it is up here.

I didn't see the funnel cloud because it was suddenly black everywhere, and the trees were bending halfway. It was an awesome sight, but I really should've been in the basement!
