Welcome, rakgirl! This place has a slightly different atmosphere from bhuz, but I like them both.

seems more academic than bhuz on first glance. i'll have to spend more time to know.
oh i guess i should add some info about me.
i've been studying Egyptian Style for 7 years and am a member of Khalidah's North Afrikan Dance Experience.
I have lived in Seattle and Miami as well as Chicago. Professionally i'm in arts administration.
as far as this style, i plan to do this dance forever and open a studio by 09.
i've been teaching for a few months and look forward to taking my dance to another level continually. I went to Egypt this past summer with Morocco's trip and plan to go again next year.

I think your plan to open your own studio is awesome. I would so very much love to make a career out of my passion for dance. It's unlikely (I'm 42 and supporting a daughter and a grand-daughter), but God creates miracles every day, so ya never know what He's got in store for the future!
