Sorry couldn't resist this zombie thread

Tuesday - Belly Dance Yoga...This is a class aimed at every one whatever your level. First time in Manchester/Greater Manchester and we ahve had some mixed reactions form the class. Some put it above all the rest of the classes, some find it is too much pressure on their body...so it's up to you. Meanwhile, let me talk to you more about the class.

The class is carried out to mostly Enigmatic/Hypnotic music, through which the mind becomes more involved...the body then follows. I will be giving you a few moves to keep practicing which are the so called master-tricks and look impossible, but we work towards them and before you know it, not only are they possible, but you have mastered them. For example moves such as full back bend and a lowering to the ground, theonly thing supporting you is your legs while your upper body is bent backward laying inches off the ground. This is all possible, believe me...
    and

    Note to Mature Ladies!!!

This is a special request for all those 50+ year olds...Please ladies...I need more of you. I have a few ladies which are in that age category who have been with me for about 4 months and are exceptional dancers...BUT I NEED MORE OF YOU! I want to prove to women and men, that us girls only get better with age. I am a 21 year old and have had issues with getting older as most of us do when we hit 20, but after seeing these sexy ladies, I no longer fear getting older. I need more of you who are willing to get the best of yourselves, your bodies and feel sexy...don't let time stop you. Come to me please and I'll have you doing belly-roles and back bends before you know it...
sounds really dangerous not to say mad. Is she really 21 or is that humour. Sh's supposed to have taught all over Russia and Asia

No one is getting me to do backbends, let alone drops!!

Apparently a mixture of styles from all over the world - including the Lambada. Don't now how you missed thread last time round. Actualy have just noticed this blog is from 2007 - when she was poised to spreaad all over the country. I had some email correspondance with her last year. Apparently we can't see clips of her dancing (or even her face) because she can't perform in front of males. don't know if she's still around

My girls told me that she is a very good dancer. She has been teaching for a while in Oldham. I don't personally know her, and I know most of the dancers in Manchester and the surrounding areas, so she must keep herself pretty much to herself.

I was thinking of joining her class, but i cant find any information on her, plus all her advertising does not have her in it, kind of makes me think she is hiding something. I hope not because it would be a shame if she was putting herself across as a teacher, and does damage to peoples perception of Belly dance.
I have attended classes with this teacher and can vouch that there is absolutely nothing wrong with her both in appearance or in her dancing. She is a young and extremely talented belly dancer who has been teaching for the past 2 years in Oldham and Manchester City Centre, although at the moment her classes are on hold. She teaches advanced level technique for drum solo/percussive dance, which she tailors depending on the level of her students. She is also bringing in a new form of belly dance combining the prominent elements of different dance styles, which is at concept stage. I have attended her classes on and off for about 1 year and have picked up movements that I have never been exposed to before, such as precise abdominal/diaphragm technique (including the flutter), challenging upper and lower body combinations, and floor work, such as back bends, descends and the infamous turkish drop! I would highly recommend this teacher to anyone who is interested in learning the more complex and challenging style of drum solo technique, once her classes resume of course!
