There is something about those face veil thingies used in dance that always makes me laugh out loud.

(I don't mean a real veil as part of an authentic costume ofcourse)

Sometimes they are worn to protect the guilty.

OMG that was kind of painful to watch, the dancing was just so frantic and then that weird face thing and the things in the hands. Such a pity of an otherwhise ok costume.

Okay, I admit I am an AmCab dancer and rather conservative at that, but...

I wonder what that is supposed to be, a henna tatoo? paste on henna tatoo? there's nothing wrong with that, but it's rather busy looking.

I think they were advertised as glue-on paper decals- not nearly as classy as henna.

Surely no SBDA thread is complete without glitterdot...?

PS, anyone else laugh at the ads for lame Isis wings?

I suppose there's a place for it (bottom of the fabric bin? ). OK for beginners costumes or practice, but otherwise unless someone's used it cleverly it always screams ooh look cheap to me. And it's a pain to sew - the way the dots get stuck in the seams and make them lumpy really annoys me.

But my teachers beginners class had different shades of glitterdot for their costumes and it did look good. At a distance it's not so recognisable! (and I didn't have to sew the stuff )
