Does anyone know about editing/mixing music on your PC. Programmes fairly simple to use? I have Mac and PC

Dear Tina,
I use Sony's Acid Music Studio 7.0. I do not know how to do even half the stuff it does, but it meets my basic needs really well, and I am currently turning something like 500 tapes over to CD... AND can do music for our shows that sounds good. I can actually run the basic stuff with very few problems!! I am no expert at this, being a techno-moron, but others here may have experience with this program and know how to tell you more. It is MUCH better than the free one I was forced to use when I first changed to Vista and needed an Acid upgrade. Can't remember the name of the program but it is a free download on the net. I'm thinking Shark or something like that.
