solo music

i've found two songs that i absolutely LOVE and am working on editing the together. what i'm wondering is if it's ok for a beginner to do a drum solo? i love the piece so much that i fell like i HAVE to use it. I will be getting help from an instructor on the choreography.

any opinions?

How long will they end up being? Drum solos only as a performance piece are very challenging and run the risk of making your audience weary and tired.

And how long would the 2 songs be together? 30 seconds drum solo is very doable for a beginner, even a minute, but it would depend on the piece over all.
