    Dear Lydia
    Very interesting video's both.
    Question:
What is the occation and the dance at the second video?
Also some of the women are wearing metal kind of covering half face. Is this traditional for Gulf area? and also one woman that her feet was filmed was wearing something that reminded me indian pants and costume.
    So any hint?

    kisses

Hi Maria ...the ..thing that looks metal to you is the traditional ,,burka,,it is made from fabrick but than they use a color to make it looking like that...the pants is just a colorfull trouser that they wear under the galabaya what is then covered with abaya so the skin of the legs is always covere and sometimes very colorfull...the occasion was the dubai shoppping festival ....and the little scarves they dance with is a traditional dance ...differant than the ,,na,a shat,, the ,,hairdance,, that everybody is always refers to as khaleegy dancing......there are many differant traditonal dances in this area

It is hard to really tell from a trailer, but this looks very different from what Aisha Azar teaches. The trailer didn't say where in the Gulf, each area has it's own unique version.

Aisha doesn't teach hip downs, rather, hip pushes to the side, some of the other movements look familiar.
