    Default Workshop Magdy el Leisy

    Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of attending a workshop with Magdy el Leisy (Egyptian teacher in Germany) next month.
Does anyone have experience with him as a dancer/teacher? How is he, what's he like?

    Thanks

    Yshka

    Very energetic! ;-)

Seriously, he's very energetic and a little goofy, but he's a very good teacher. I think you'd have a lot of fun and probably get a lot out of the workshop. What is he teaching? Orientale, or some folkloric too?

Very high energy and fun! Does beautiful beledi. If they sell a CD of the workshop music, buy it! He likes some of the really obscure stuff, and it's hard to find.

Magdy is a wonderful teacher! I had visited a workshop with him many many years ago, but I don't forget it He had taught us Egyptian cane dance (Raqs el Assaya). It was big fun attending the workshop and even bigger fun talking with him after the workshop. He was there with his wife Aza and both of them were really sweet and wonderful people. So Iris, go for it

    Hi Yshka,
I can only confirm what everyone has written here.
I've sponsored Magdy twice and all of my students loved him. Bring a big towel to wipe the sweat, water and LOTS of energy
Where are you doing the workshop?
    Happy dancing,
    Sara Abou Farhat
