    Default Hi from Vermont!

    Hi everyone -

I just found this forum today and it looked so fun!

I've been belly dancing for 20 years. I was taught by Cassandra in Minneapolis, and over the years have performed and taught and just all-around enjoyed belly dance. I'm a cabaret girl, but a friend of mine is really into tribal and has broadened my horizons.

Recently, I started taking up pole dancing. I needed a new challenge, but what I find is I always work belly dance into it - via the floor work, the isolations, the warm-ups, the undulations. Plus, starting over in a new style has given me a renewed understanding of my students - after 20 years, you can forget how difficult doing something on both left and right sides is, and how much coordination is needed just to maintain the proper posture.

Can't wait to get to know you all, and share the fun of belly dance!

    Jennifer

Dance is like glitter, it not only colours your life, it makes you sparkle, you find it everywhere and in everything and it's near impossible to get rid of. (unknown)
