Belly dance Drawing

I'm feeling an urge to draw and I want to draw a male belly dancer, but I'm having a hard time finding some good shots. If you could send me a few pictures of either your favorite male belly dancer or yourselves I could send you a copy of the finished drawing in return, if you'd like.

I don't have any but I would recommend Jalil from Australia, Mohamed Shahin, Tito Seif, and our own Zorba. Zorba has drawings of himself on his website; the rest I believe are featured on YouTube.

I would highly reccomend Zorba, he has some good gallery on his website from which you can choose whichever picture you like. However, I would not recommend working from drawings from that website, but yeah, there are some great pictures.

Feel free to draw from whatever you like on my site. There is also a (very small) male Belly Dance clipart page - some are good, some not so much, but it will give you an idea of what little has been done before...

I can hardly wait to see the results of what/who ever you draw!!

I agree, it would be interesting and indeed it is interesting that someone would like to focus on male belly dancers for the purpose of art because one thing is for sure, aside from Zorba's website, there is sod all artistic representation of male dancers out there on the world wide web.

But why not draw from the mind, you know the poses, you know the male form, draw the male form belly dancing.

I have a picture of me from Halloween in a Ali Baba Sultan costume. It's not exactly belly dance,but it might help with drawing a picture of a male belly dancer if you just want to draw a fictional character.
