Have you seen "Bellydancers of Cairo" - ? That's fabulous.

American Bellydancer is okay, but it's all focused on the old Superstars troupe.

Yasmina of Cairo

Yasmina's journey of desire.
Much as I like the Princess's style, I found Underbelly not a good reflection of our dance.

To me, it was more of what entertainers do behind the scenes than the dance itself. "American Bellydancer" was like that too, more like a documentary on the dancer's life behind the stage than the actual dances. I think "American Legends" is much more reflective of the dance and the past.

Why is she infamous? I don't know her, this was the first I saw of her. I have a feeling she was mentioned in a belly dance book (forgot the name, it's a novel) and it wasn't in a positive way. But no idea why.
