Hi Zorba, Thank-you for your warm welcome, I appreciate it. Most people don't understand this passion for belly dancing. I am happy to have found this site with people who know how great it is. Serena was one of those people who embraced everybody and her greatest joy was to share this dance. After I studied with her, I also taught at her school and then opened my own studio where I taught belly dancing and yoga. I live in Jersey City, just found a beautiful studio and am trying to organize a workshop. The people in JC are clueless about bd. They think it's about losing weight. Arghhhhhh!
Yea, she's an interesting person. She helped me considerably back when I got my "tramp stamp" years back, telling me how to deal with the pain, etc, etc.I always enjoyed Gia. So many interesting people have retired and disappeared from OD over the years. (Wistful sigh.)
