This is Moose. For confusion's sake, he is a hamster and not a Moose.

(Flickr's being tricky lately, tell me if you guys can't see him!)

Oh he's so cute! Is he a Teddy Bear? We had a hamster named Lionel who lived to be 3!

3 is a fantastic run for a hamster, well done! Moose is a Syrian hamster :) He has the cutest spots on his ears! And he has me trained. If he wants me attention, he chews on the bars and I keep giving him stuff until he gets what he wants to make him stop. I jump right out of bed even when this happens, it's ridiculous. What a spoiled little brat.

My long time pal, Buddy. Buddy is a red lored Amazon.
How old is Buddy, and is he a talker? Birds can be Fun. Many years ago a friend of mine had some sort of parrot, I don't know what, but it was a real chatter box & was very good at copying the families voices.

I like that - your pets names as forum names, maybe I should have used Chaos:D

Jane pussy cat should be Amira cat, the way she is lounging gracefully amongst the cushions. She actually looks like my friends cat whose name is Shima (stripes in Japanese).

Buddy is about 32 years old and talks a blue streak. He has a vocabulary of about 200 words. So he's pretty much like a 3 year old human child. He speaks in phrases and trust me, he knows what he's saying. His first owner was male so he says something things in his voice. What he's learned from me he says in my voice. Very odd when he gets on a chatter streak and he's running through everything and he switches from one voice to the other and back again. LOL I've had him since he was 5 and he's been the delight of my life. He's a willable pet, so I've set up a trust for him to ensure he's always seen to.

Buddy sounds like a wonderful companion, he must be quite amusing when he has his chatterbox moments, quite the intelligent little chat:D. 32 yrs old, goodness! I knew some birds live a long time, but wasn't sure how long, and if you have set up a trust for him, what is his life expectancy? After all those yrs I am sure he would be devastated if anything happened to you.

Bud has the potential to live over 100 years. The best recorded amazon from hatch to death was 106 when he died. He stayed with 3 generations of the same family, up on Alaska. So yes, my expectation is that he'll out live me by a good bit. I agree, he'll not deal without me well, but he's a tough nugget (as in green chicken nugget! ). I keep hoping someone in the family will take to him and I can will him or give him away before I pass, but so far no one has a fondness for feathered companions.

As for chattering, he's like a 2 year old. Quiet when you're doing things, but the minute you get on the phone....

WOW! they sure have very long lives, I can certainly see why you have a trust fund for him. Love the comment about becoming terribly chatty when you get on the phone:lol:

lol, Little moose is a middle eastern hamster, hopfully he appriciates belly dance and arabic music. His owner needs to get him a tiny set of Darbuka drums for him, so he can learn about his culture.

I have a set of mini Darbuka drums, that came with a Bratz dolls harem girls collection Yes I collected some Bratz dolls. I will send you the tiny drums for you Hamster. haha
