Hi all,

Because the members of this forum are spreaded all over the world, I thought it would be nice to post some picures of the area where I live, maybe you'll be inspired to post some pictures of your home town as well? ;)
I would really like to see pictures of all those different places :D

Unfortunately I don't have a camera, but I found some pictures on the internet:

the flat where I live (in Wageningen, the Netherlands) on the 7th floor.

View from the park:

From one of the higher points in the city, you can have this nice view over the river Rhine.

This will probably make you all laugh, but I live in one of these:

In a red one

They're not as small as they seem though and it's only temporarily.. I have my own bathroom and kitchen and it's really close to university.

But in 6 months I'll move in with my boyfriend, I'm really looking forward to that!

Duluth, Minnesota, USA

I have lived in Minnesota my whole life. I was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, which is about 1 hour north of St. Paul/Minneapolis. I moved to Duluth, MN where I currently reside 13 years ago. Duluth is a port city located in NorthEastern Minnesota on Lake Superior. Winters are BRUTAL with snowstorms blanketing 3-5 feet of lake effect snow on our hilly streets. Also, temperatures reaching Minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit, not including the wind chill! It is not uncommon for schools to close due to the bitter cold conditions. Summertime is gorgeous! NEVER have I been to a more beautiful place in the summertime. The temperatures are moderately warm with a bit of humidity. Sailboats coast on Lake Superior with tourists walking on the boardwalk in Canal Park to see the famous liftbridge that actually lifts up so that ships can go into the harbor. The first picture is of the famous lift bridge. The second picture is my front yard after a snowstorm! The third picture is Lake Superior at night. If anyone is interested in visiting the cities website for more info...Duluth.com | Stay Sharp

I have loads of pictures of my home at MSNSpaces but as I cannot access there right now (I should not surf during working hours when most of the sites are restricted) here are some "official" pictures of my house:

Quite different than my home in Finland:

Here's a pic of my house, the "for sale" sign was still on, we had just bought it! That was 3 years ago.

I live in Leiden, I absolutely LOVE it there

Ooh so nice to see all these pics!
Torihime, your house looks really cool! Where is it?
Chryssanthi, you make me jealous, lol! And you too Maria, those cottages remind me of my holiday in Crete (more then 12 years ago!)

I'll look up some nicer pictures of my town too :)

What a wonderful idea! Love everyone's pics. The first picture below was taken from the window of my old flat. Ah, to live in the city again – I hate living in the suburbs and having to waste all that time commuting every day... anyway, this was taken during the Spring festival a couple years ago, hence all the cars and people. Probably you can’t see it because they’re so small, but most of the people are dressed in the regional costume for the day. In the second pic is the cathedral of Murcia, the most representative building of my town.

I have also some good pix taken from my childhood home of my hometown in Venezuela (I used to live in an 11th floor, and had a wonderful view of the city) – have to dig them up and scan them in the comp.

Some of you live in weird, and strange places, but they're all very pretty. I wish I lived in an historical place, but no such luck. I live in an industrial area, so it's not very pretty, and is full of junk and graffiti and stuff...:( I'm well jealous.

That was just background info...

We don't have no pics I don't think...

The first pic with the pink circle is where I am situated in my area of 's-Hertogenbosch. The second is (in blue:lol: ) my house, front&backyard... our car... and the blue circle is our huge tree I could even see from the satellite image:cool:

How cool to see all your hometowns :) I've so far lived in four towns/cities (three Estonian ones and Thessaloniki in Greece), but I'll just share some images of my first hometown in North-East Estonia.

This is oldest thing in the town - a German fort from the 14th century.

And this is one of the newest things - the famous central square...
