MizzNaaa did an awesome job translating the song - I am amazed how much cultural information can fit into a 3-minute shaabi song. I mean, for us, those expressions and explanations are real treasure, for Egyptians it is just a silly fun song :lol:

Oh, and I'll so be bringing you real cookies MizzNaaa, the next time I'll be in Cairo!

Hi MizzNaa! I decided to take advantage of your kind offer to help with translations as I am having a hard time finding a translation of this version of this song. In fact, I keep finding multiple versions of this song and I am not sure they are the same song... But the one I am looking for specifically is this one: Claudia Chemali Ala Honak ????? ??????? ??? ???? - YouTube I am hoping you can point me in the right direction! Thanks so much!

Kartane, I am so sorry, but this is in Khaleeji Arabic. And while I understand most of it, I can't really give an accurate translation since a lot of the words they use either have different meanings or are entirely not used in our own slang. I can't even quite tell what she's trying to say xD SORRY!

There you go, Munniko :) Sorry for the delay, school's been insane.

You keep saying empty words (The literal translation is you keep talking talks talks which doesn't make any sense in English so.. :p )
From the day I knew you
And not
a word you've actually stuck to
And I
You ignore my words (demands, requests...all could work here)
I'm done
I'm not gonna wait on you anymore
And right now if I left you
I'll never come back
And I advice you to forget me

x2

I gave you a hundred chances
The problem's not with me, it's with you
And I'm leaving you

Get away from my sight
You're not a part of my days (she meant to say he's not a part of her life)
And I'm strong enough to stick to my words (my decision)

You keep saying empty words
... all the way to And I advice you to forget me \

Listen to me
Take from me any words that could make you understand what I'm thinking of (what I want)
You'll feel what I feel
How are you going to live with someone who spends their life speaking empty words
And the next day they forget about it

How many times do I reprimand you
and you don't even care
and you don't even think about me
And you take me for granted (this part isn't literal translation because it wouldn't make any sense)
Who's the crazy person who said once that words are comforting
Nothing of what you said ever happened (what you promised)
And I think it's over
x2

I gave you a hundred chances
The problem's not with me, it's with you
And I'm leaving you

Get away from my sight
You're not a part of my days (she meant to say he's not a part of her life)
And I'm strong enough to stick to my words (my decision)

Then she keeps repeating parts of the bit that starts with (You keep saying empty words)

Then she repeats the whole thing again from (You keep saying empty words to I advice you to forget me)

````
Hope that helped! :)
Thanks so much MizzNaaa! I was worried that I accidentally posted something super offensive o_O but school definitely takes priority over this. I was just wondering if it would be a fun song to belly dance too.....which it looks like it would be.
@Soul King,
I wouldn't know, I don't usually listen to a lot of Turkish music, but I assume your best bet would to search for Turkish music/musicians
Hey Rosetti!
Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate it a lot :)
As for the song, it's Called Doqi Ya Mazzika (دقي يا مزيكا) By Salma Ahmed, she's a casino dancer/singer here who's not really very famous except for being the 'star' of El Leil Casino in Al Haram Street here. I have no clue if she has an album out but here's the video clip.
