Canada's cold-war plans to detain known communists/communist sympathizers

So this is pretty wild. I'm watching the Fifth Estate on CBC right now about this. The last interview is with a guy who is being investigated right now by CSIS basically because of this policy.

I think a lot of countries around that time had some pretty scary secretive plans & services when it came to communism, they have probably changed their names to reflect today's terrorism.

Yeah, for me, I think it's just that thinking of CSIS as being an actually proactive group who had an eye on so many Canadians is pretty unbelievable, we hear so little about CSIS.

I'd be more surpised if there was a country that didn't have a plan like that if all hell had broken lose. At least we didn't put that into action.

there is also a reason why we don't hear a lot about CSIS. That's because they don't want to be in the media light. Its kinda hard to keep the country safe when the media is blabbing their plans all over and the ones they are looking at learn about it.
