Delilah dancing Whatever Lola wants

The comments are interesting to read....and an interesting debate - I too love her arms, and I know you could incorporate at least some of them into bellydance, but I'm not sure whether they all fit. I haven't watched all the video's, and at this stage I can't (there are not enough hours in the day!!), but I'll come on back and take a look when I do have a moment or two!

I don't understand these video's . What's with the old fashioned Western music? And her dancing is mostly arm work and quite often the same movement it seems.

I think maybe she had wrist injuries and her physiotherapist asked her to do some exercises again and again?

Bregman overlays the music on the video. Sometimes it's very funny, sometimes people object but all in all bregman ( Russina?) seems to like bellydancers. Watch some of his others.
edit: No he's American! Just likes Russian belly dancers

LOL! Yes, I was reading some of the comments also. I am supporting her because she is a good teacher. She does a lot of arm work. Perhaps too much, but I didn't post all her videos, just a few. Other performances I have seen of her have good dance techniques. I think she dances mostly Improv with not a lot of choreo.

With all the arms movements I think you could become very bored watching her, but she is very graceful, and one could brush up on arms/hands movements watching her. Actually I noticed her arms are very strong looking, so she must do heaps with her arms. Those belly flutters actually made me feel a bit sick, I find if I try to do too many of those, my tum becomes rebellious LOL!

I was a bit worried about the bra top in "what Lola Wants" ... Lucky she is small chested:D

Indeed, the hands are pretty, but there is just way too much of them and every now and then they go way too fast. But yeah, dancing along to her, especially the first part of the first video, could be a great drill for working on arms.

As for dancing in general, she does look very graceful but to me her style looks a bit artsy and keeps remining contemporary dance. However, it also might be due to the fact that the added music is just clouding my judgement.

Her video's are good learning tools to watch and learn from. I would love to attend one of her workshops she holds in Hawaii.
