My daughter and her award for saving a woman's life. She has been nominated for a second award for a different incident.

She's transitioning patrol to detective right now. Tecs aren't guaranteed safety, but they're not on the street everyday all day. She's happy that it means no more protective vest and 30 pounds of equipment around her waist. No kidding: thirty pounds.

I thought of going into criminal investigations at one time but it was not meant to be. Do give her our my thanks as well.
