She is 11 years old and has been dancing for a few years. This was an improvised dance for the guests at our end of year hafla. This is from the beginning - she started the dance with some veil. She did such a lovely job. Her Dad and sister and I were so proud.

Yes, we have danced together. Actually, our beginners dance, our first performance, was when she was 7yo and we danced with another Mum and her 7yo daughter. It was so fun. Since then I've danced with her a few times and she devises the choreography for us. She's a much better dancer than I but she's very patient and makes the dance so I can mange to keep up with her. She has danced a couple of times at parties and it's always such a buzz for me.

Sadly, for me, she has decided that she is "so over bellydancing" and now wants to do hip hop but at her age she must do what she finds fun and interesting and one day she may come back to bellydancing again. I may even get into a bit of hip hop with her (for fun in the loungeroom only though hehe).
