I remember having a really hard time saying crotch in grade school. I think that's the only word hang-up I have. Oh, and saying 'no'. Have a hard time with that one...

This one's for real. According to Wikipedia, there are 5 or 6 towns in the USA called "Hell". As well, there's a very famous town by that name in Norway; a former Miss Universe, known as "the lady from Hell" was from there. By the way, and I think Gisela can confirm that "hell" means "luck" in Norwegian.

Of course, this picture supposedly illustrates that Hell is frozen over.

O yeah I been to Hell :) (in Norway)
Here's a picture I found on the internet from the train station.

Funny huh?!

I think "held" is luck in norwegian. It says on Wikipedia that the village's name Hell comes from oldnordic "hellir" which means rock cave or something like that.

They have this great postcard with a sign that says "welcome to Hell" and the background sky is all red and pink and dramatic

p.s. "Gods" means freight or cargo

Languages are so interesting ... so if Gods is cargo, what is the word for 'English' Gods.

Chinese have some very interesting names if you read or here them and your Mother tongue is English. My brother-in-law only uses his Chinese name amongst close Chinese friends and family because part of it is spelt Fatt pronounced fart! He used an English name 99% of the time .. Fatt means Luck:D

I been to hell too - in South Africa... it is a valley called Die Hel, so this is THE hell... LOL

It gets bloody hot there in summer, and its next to impossible to get there - check out the road to hell... lol I did get shivers down my spine a couple of times when i felt the wheel of the car on the very edge of the cliff.... eeeek

Actually its story is fascinating, about a bunch of families living there in complete isolation...

Gisela, that's a funny pic!

But I thought it was a little scary when they were all coming at me and jumping up on the fence...

I saw something today that made me chuckle for the rest of the day.

In Boots (a big pharmacist with an optician attached) there was a poster that said:
"Eye tests available tomorrow*"

I followed the asterisk and it said:

"*subject to availability"

Huh?!
