Suggestions for workshop instructor in the US west/northwest

Hello all,
It looks like we might have an opportunity to put together a workshop in the early part of the summer. I'm somewhat new to this area myself, and I'm looking for suggestions for someone to bring in for the workshop. Our nearest major cities are Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City and Calgary, AB, so I'm thinking about inviting in a teacher from one of those areas, although I'm open to all suggestions!

Thanks!!

Where are you located? You can PM me if you don't feel comfortable sharing that info with everyone ;)

No way! You are 45 min. from my house! Are you going to the hafla in Helena on Saturday?

All right, another Rocky Mountain dancer, albeit in Montana instead of Wyoming. Glad you're here- wish I was going to Helena.

When you do Shanazel, you are always welcome to stay at my house :)

Hafla was a lot of fun, I got to catch up with a lot of people I don't get to see very often. I bought some fun stuff from Desert Dancer. Hooray- shopping! I have come to the realization that I look like a complete dork when I try to do Tribal, I have been suspecting that for a long time...

I also highly recommend Aisha Azar, she is by far the best teacher I have ever had. I have also studied with Helene and she is also a very good teacher. What kind of dance style are you interested in? Aisha teaches Egyptian and folkloric styles of the Middle East. Helene teaches a large variety of traditional dances from the Near East and the Middle East.

For Tribal, you might ask Sharon Moore if she could come or to recommend someone. Sharon is on this Forum, her website is: Welcome to the new Mandala Tribal Website! | Mandala Tribal Bellydance - Shay Moore - Seattle

Thanks! I've sent a note to Aisha to see what her availability is for that weekend. Helene was here last fall doing a workshop for the folk dancers here that was very well liked (I missed it with the swine flu, sadly:()

Personally, my style tends towards the Classical Egyptian and the folkloric, so it sounds like I'm going to really enjoy an Aisha workshop. I'm also a huge fan of Delilah's instructional videos and would love to see her in workshop some time.
