The boldest costume you have ever worn

My question is, why would we want to compare how skimpy our costumes are to one another's? Are you needing some sort of "peer gauge," so to speak, to get an idea of what might or might not be acceptable onstage?

Those look like normal costumes to me. They are not really showing any more "skin" than any othe costume people wear.

Actually I've seen costumes that are showing less skin than that.

My thoughts exactly. They look like tasteful, regular costumes.

Teachermodel, I thought you meant: 'boldest in color' or 'boldest in design'. Your example are pretty costumes, not revealing at all I think.

When I think of what would be my boldest costume, I'd post this one:

This costume had a short fringed faux suede skirt, I still have to get a picture taken of the full costume with the boots haha. I might be able to do that next week.
This is my Wild West cossie from the show Wild West Cabaret, the act was called: Amulya, the Middle Eastern Mediterranean belly dancer from Texas.
LOL! Don't take this serious, lots of guns were involved, I had 4 of them.

I agree with Mosaic, very cute! Can't wait for you to post pics of the full cossie! :D

In that vein, I suppose these are the two "boldest" costumes I've worn so far:

The first one is my Tribal Fusion costume. I'm thinking of wearing my purple bra with these Melodia pants and my black, blingy "Tarkan" hat (which pretty much looks like a Michael Jackson hat) for a solo using a Tarkan song I have running through my head. :yay:

The second one is my Bollywood-inspired costume by TC Skinner. I'm hoping to be able to do the Bollywood number with the troupe this year so I can wear it! :D

EDIT: For some reason, my pics aren't posting.

I'm not sure I ever wore bold costumes; I've always been pretty conservative. I did have one costume in 1978 that I only wore a couple of times because I felt too exposed: the skirt was composed of a narrow quarter circle of crushed velvet in front and a half circle in back that left my legs exposed in front clear to the belt. It was pretty typical of the times, but after one performance worrying about over-exposure, I never wore it again without combining it with a full chiffon underskirt!

Funniest costume I ever wore was a western shirt, full riding skirt, cowboy boots, cowboy hat, and a fringed rodeo queen sash that I turned into a hipbelt. Carried a saddle and blanket onstage as props and used the saddle blanket as a veil. Had a blast. It was the silliest thing I've ever done as a dancer and wouldn't you know it: it was the one performance of mine that ever made it onto YouTube.

Are they too big Farasha?

 Hmmmmmmm, I didn't think about that. But if they were, they wouldn't have uploaded to my photo album here, would they? I'll try to fix it somehow. If I can't, I'll come screaming for help!

Let's see if I figured it out. *click*

Here's mine (although I wore tights underneath: Wish I knew how to post photos here :(

Love both costumes...

Teachermodel (Marie)!

If you're comfortable putting up pictures of yourself...it would be cool to see how they look on you....I'm sure they look great :)

I know I could not pull those off! I wish!
